About my work

The inspiration for designing my jewelry and small utensils comes from looking at historical design and craftsmanship. In addition, structures from nature are a great source of inspiration.
Recycling is also an aspect of that love for nature; I reuse found parts of devices, objects and old jewelry as well as seeds, twigs, stones, shells...
About me
Commissioned work can also be very inspiring, new forms, materials, wishes, principles.
Particularly with silver birth spoons, it is a challenge to make a truly personal gift by incorporating, for example, name, zodiac sign, animal or place of birth. It can also be inspiring for jewelry, buttons, lamps, boxes, clocks and different types of spoons if the client has certain wishes. In addition to working as a craft teacher at the Vrije School in Amsterdam for more than 12 years, I have always taken courses in the creative/craft field; architectural design at the Rietveld Academy, welding, metal patina imitations, goldsmithing, antique frame restoration.
My spoons have been used in productions of Residence, Elle Eten, Elle Wonen, VT Wonen and Eigen Huis en Interieur.
