Light and dark, day and night, black and white: the exhibition in Dutch Design Hotel Artemis shows the theme 'Light and Dark' in different ways. In relation to the annual winter event 'Amsterdam Light Festival' in Amsterdam city centre, Dutch Design Hotel Artemis offers the possibility to locals and guests in the area Amsterdam New-West to also enjoy this event close to home.
In the lobby of the Amsterdam hotel 10 artists and designers exposure their objects, from giant hangging lamps to sparkling glass sculpturs. What is the interpretation of 'Light & Dark' of each exhibitor? Is it a shadow, a contradiction of the use of colours?
